The Atomos Shinobi 5.2” 4K HDMI Monitor is a high-resolution monitor designed for professional video production. It features a 5-inch display with a resolution of 3840x2160, and supports HDMI input/output for connecting to cameras, drones, and other video equipment. The monitor also includes advanced features such as waveform, histogram, and zebra display for precise exposure and focus control, as well as a built-in battery for convenient on-the-go use. It is a high end monitor and is widely used in the film industry. The Shinobi is one of the lightest 4K monitors on the market, stealthily attaching to any HDMI camera setup. The Shinobi Monitor support logs format from Sony, Canon, Panasonic, Arri Alexa, JVC, and RED Cameras.

The Shinobi uses the revolutionary AtomOS 10 platform and is packed with an extensive suite of scopes and simple one-touch operations. In addition, the Shinobi comes with monitoring tools for focus, framing & exposure, including Focus Peaking, 4:1 / 2:1 / 1:1 Zoom, Zebra, False Color, Frame Guides, SMPTE Safe Area, Waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope, a new multi-view ‘Analysis Mode’ and a flexible 3D and 1D LUT†, Profile and Preset support (upload .cube files via SD Card) and options for anamorphic de-squeeze monitoring.
Atomos Analysis
We know how important to see what you’re shooting at all times. The Analysis feature you can simultaneously see what you are shooting, view a waveform, histogram, and vectorscope, ensuring complete control of your image. The user can switch between different waveform, histogram, and vectorscope options on the fly with a single touch.
HDR in the field
The Shinobi 5.2” screen displays a stunning 10+ stops of dynamic range in real time from Log/PQ/HLG signals. It’s combined with our HDR monitoring feature that simplifies the complexities of shooting Log and HDR. This feature helps you to replicate post-production workflows and while shooting.
Realtime LUTs preview
You can apply and compare the looks for post-production in SDR or HDR from your favorite LUTs for your camera or from your post team for consistency across shoots. The Shinobi allows you to load up to 8 custom LUTs at any time via the SD Card Slot and instantly select between them, maintaining the creative intent at all times.
Calibrated true-to-eye colors
Calibration is the key to a reliable monitor. The Shinobi monitor can be calibrated using X-Rite’s i1DisplayPro for ongoing accurate HDR and Rec709 monitoring. This provides accurate monitoring for reliable results. The Monitors drift and calibration is the only way to ensure your eyes are not deceiving you.
The Battery Life is Longer
The Shinobi requires very low power in standby or monitoring modes. This battery was designed for monitoring purposes only. This translates into your daily routine or all day, the battery life lasting endurance when you’re at the end of a shoot.
Designed for every situation
When you attach the Shinobi 5.2” display to your camera, the size and weight of your monitor matter. The Shinobi is shaved down to 196g and added ¼”-20 screw mounts top and bottom for ease of cage and adaptor rigging. In addition, the center mount battery makes balancing easy and flexible. The Shinobi is compatible with most cameras, smartphones, and HDMI-ready devices.
