Atomos Sumo 19 SE HDR Monitor, Recorder, and Switcher
Description
The Atomos Sumo 19" SE HDR Monitor, Recorder, and Switcher retains the same 4K recording, monitoring, and switching capabilities as its predecessor, but with a brighter and sharper display. It has four 12G-SDI inputs and one HDMI 2.0 input, which can accept video signals up to 4K60 and supports live quad-channel switching. Five-channel recording records both the input feeds and the live switching, resulting in a single output video for easy viewing. Both the HDMI 2.0 and quad-SDI interfaces support genlock and LTC timecode.
Compact Monitor
The SUMO 19SE is the ideal addition to an on-set video village, with a bright (1200nit), HDR touchscreen that covers the DCI-P3 (P3) Color Gamut, the ability to record Apple ProResRAW up to 6Kp30, and a rugged and versatile design. It has four independent inputs, can switch and record each ISO stream up to 1080p60, and has full-sized XLR connectors for professional audio workflows.
Up to 6Kp30 ProRes RAW recording
The Sumo 19SE unlocks the true potential of SDI RAW cinema cameras. Record in Apple ProRes RAW at up to 6Kp30, 4Kp60 DCI/UHD, and 2Kp240 DCI/HD, or CinemaDNG at up to 4Kp30 DCI to preserve the pristine quality of the data from the camera sensor. Sony FS series cameras, Canon C300MKII/C500, Panasonic EVA-1/Varicam LT, and others are all compatible with the Sumo 19SE.
ProRes 10-bit and DNx up to 4Kp60
SDI or HDMI can capture video from any camera or digital video source. At 4Kp60, record up to 10-bit 4:2:2 in Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHR codecs. The SUMO 19SE supports multiple SDI inputs and can record up to four inputs simultaneously. It also supports ProRes LT and DNxHD 36 for longer recording times.
High-brightness and HDR monitoring
The SUMO 19SE, with its 1200nit brightness, 19-inch display, 1920 x 1080 resolution, and 10-bit processing, is at home in any environment. SDI and HDMI i/o accept a wide variety of inputs and offer signal cross-conversion with 4K>HD down conversion options.
Quad-channel HD switching/recording in real-time
Record up to four 1080p60 streams concurrently as separate ISOs (via 3G SDI Level A Only), as well as a fifth "program" channel of your switched feed, while cueing and switching in real-time. Display the resulting mixed output live on set (via HDMI or SDI), or use an HDMI to USB capture device to output the switched feed for live streaming. Asynchronous switching eliminates the need for expensive locked sources and allows the use of less expensive cameras that do not support timecode/genlock inputs.
Two 48V stereo balanced XLR inputs
You can connect two external microphones with balanced analog audio recording and monitoring using the full-size XLR connectors with 48V phantom power. The SUMO 19SE also has dedicated meters, gain controls, and frame delay adjustments for each channel. Mic or line-level audio can be synchronized with embedded audio from HDMI and SDI sources in real-time.
