The ATEM 2 M/E Constellation 4K features a built-in reference video input and frame synchronizers for each input, allowing for the seamless integration of cameras, various formats, and sources without the need for genlock. Converting frame rates and formats simplifies the process of merging feeds from different sources, such as computer video. Additionally, it provides both upstream and downstream keyers with real-time rendering, making it ideal for live productions. Control options consist of downloadable software, the built-in front panel, or optional Blackmagic ATEM control panels, providing both flexibility and precision.

High-Quality Transitions
The ATEM Constellation UHD 4K features a diverse selection of professional transitions, including mix, dip, and wipe, each of which can be fully customized. The system menus enable you to modify border color, width, position, and direction, giving you full creative control. The integrated digital video effects processor (DVE) improves transitions by providing seamless picture reveals and graphic wipes. The preview transition feature guarantees smooth switching by enabling users to see transitions before they go live.

Vibrant DVE Effects
The ATEM Constellation features two independent DVEs, enabling dynamic picture-in-picture compositions, along with real-time repositioning, resizing, and scaling. The DVEs create stunning visual effects with 3D borders, shadows, and customizable lighting, offering a flexible solution for any production.

Adaptable Multiview
The ATEM Constellation features a configurable multiview display that can be adjusted to show 16, 13, 10, 7, or 4 views. The setup features straightforward program and preview monitoring, along with inputs, media players, DSK, and a clean feed. Optional labels and audio meters improve usability, providing operators with a complete view of the live production.

Expert Communication for Team Coordination
The ATEM Constellation UHD 4K features a professional talkback system that allows for smooth communication among crew members. With a 5-pin XLR headset and RJ12 connector, it seamlessly connects to standard talkback systems such as ClearCom or RTS. It enables two-way communication via SDI talkback on channels 15 and 16, along with engineering talkback on channels 13 and 14. You can also add the talkback mic to program audio for quick voiceovers.

Internal Media Pool for Graphics Easily store and play back RGBA graphics and animations using the built-in media pool of the ATEM Constellation. By assigning two or four media players as input sources, SDI inputs can be liberated for additional content. The 1 M/E model accommodates 20 still images and 200 frame animations, all of which can be controlled through ATEM Software Control or directly from Photoshop using the ATEM Photoshop plug-in.

Advanced Controls for Chroma Keying
The integrated ATEM chroma keyer offers sophisticated keying features, including a color picker that automatically creates key parameters. Users have the ability to refine edge and flare adjustments, along with utilizing a color corrector to achieve a smooth blend between the foreground and background. The 2 M/E model features eight advanced keyers, with four for each M/E row, making it perfect for virtual sets or multi-camera productions. Audio can be mixed directly from SDI inputs, and program outputs include tally, talkback, and camera control integration to ensure smooth communication and coordination.

Fairlight Audio Mixer for Impeccable Sound
Every SDI input is channeled through a robust Fairlight audio mixer, featuring a 6-band parametric EQ, compressor, limiter, noise gate, and expander. This device extracts audio from SDI sources, accommodating as many as 156 input channels. The ATEM Constellation’s mixer offers professional-level audio control with extra inputs for analog audio or talkback mics, all managed through ATEM Software Control or a compatible Mackie panel.

ATEM Software Control Panel
The ATEM Software Control Panel provides a user-friendly interface that allows for smooth switcher operation from any computer. This software allows users to handle camera control, audio mixing, media management, macro programming, and additional features. Moreover, users have the option to save configurations as XML files for backup purposes. Works seamlessly on both macOS and Windows, enabling multiple users to collaborate in real time.
