The Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini HDMI to Optical 12G provides you with the function to convert the HDMI signal to the 12G-SDI and SMPTE optical fiber output. Both input and output of this device support the DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) 60p resolution. This device does not provide any optical fiber module but the rear part supports it. Simply purchase any compatible SMPTE optical fiber module of your choice to send video and embedded audio over massive distances using 3G, 6G, or 12G-SDI optical fiber.

More features, this Teranex Mini HDMI to Optical 12G also has the full-size XLR inputs that can be switched between balanced analog and AES/EBU digital audio which gives connectivity to separate audio signals. To have the remote-based control from any Mac or Windows computer, this device has the Ethernet port where this port can also be used for alternative power supply. Apart from the Ethernet port, there is a built-in 90-240V power supply with a standard IEC power cable for the last option in charging.

The portability in size make this Teranex Mini HDMI to Optical 12G fits the rack-mounted setup. In total, up to 3 units can be arranged in the optional 1RU 19" rack tray. To use this device easily, there is the Standard Front Panel where it contains mini switches that give easiness to the settings. As an optional, there is the Smart Panel which gives simpler usage and better function. This Smart Panel consists of a color LCD, 6 control buttons, a spin knob as well as the menu button. This panel also provides the on-screen menu when converting.
