DZOFilm X-Tract 18-28mm T8 FF Probe Zoom Lens (0° Direct View, ARRI PL)

The DZOFilm's ARRI PL-mount X-Tract 0° 18-28mm T8 FF Probe Zoom Lens offers a unique close-up perspective for your films and photography. This small probing lens is only 16.3" long and has a front diameter of less than 1.2", making it ideal for tight shooting spaces. It has a large field of view (100-73 degrees), a quick T8 maximum aperture, a maximum magnification of 2.1:1, and a minimum focusing distance of 0.24". This straight version provides a direct view, but 90° and 360° periscope lens versions are available separately for different shooting angles.

Wide-Angle Zoom

The 18-28mm probe zoom lens covers the most commonly used focal lengths in commercials and TVCs, from ultra-wide 18mm to near mid-range 28mm. Its field of view ranges from 100° to 73° (a notable improvement over Laowa’s 80°), greatly enhancing shooting flexibility. With advanced optical design and coating technology, it effectively minimizes flaring and vignetting at the 18mm wide end while ensuring image consistency across the entire focal range.

Lens Technology

Incorporates seven high-refractive-index (HRI) lens elements, effectively reducing lens size. The 2+5 differentiated refractive index distribution results in a crisper, purer image with more accurate and natural color temperature, resolving the yellowish issue commonly seen in traditional probe lenses.

Cine-Standard Probe Lens

Delivers cinematic-quality high-resolution images with precision optics and six low-dispersion (ED) lens elements that correct chromatic aberration for true-to-life color reproduction. It overcomes the framing limitations of traditional probe lens, suppresses breathing and minimizes vignetting.

Distortion Control

The maximum distortion is controlled within ±2% across the wide-to-telephoto range, the zoom design better controls the distortion level of different focal lengths, achieving zero distortion at the 24mm focal length.
Made from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy with a 25μm anodized coating, this lens is built to withstand tough environments, including extreme temperatures, high humidity, and dust. OY-Type Support

Custom-developed OY-type support. The quick-release O-type includes a standard 3/8 thread, while the lightweight Y-type features a 1/4 thread for flexible attachment. The detachable tube support mount employs a quick-release design, with high-precision machining ensuring strength and stability.

Rotating Ring Design

M0.8 stepless rotating ring allows 360° rotation with full flexibility in shooting angles.
