Laird HD-BNC Male to Standard BNC Female HD-SDI Cable (1ft)
Description
The Laird HD-BNC Male to Standard BNC Female HD-SDI Cable (1ft) provides genuine 75-ohm performance in a 51% smaller footprint than standard BNC connections, allowing for four times the density. The HD-BNC connection was designed to improve electrical and mechanical performance by using a standard BNC's trusted push-and-turn interface, which provides tactile feedback and a solid lock for rapid and assured mating. Adopting HD-BNC is simple since it uses the same cable prep and termination requirements as traditional broadcast connections.
The HD-BNC cable has a number of specific benefits, including the absence of variable return loss and mechanical bonding, which are prevalent in mini-BNC and DIN 1.0 / 2.3 connections. For return loss, the HD-BNC connection meets or surpasses SMPTE 292M and SMPTE 424M standards. On the jack, the dielectric was also stretched to increase the mechanical strength of the center contact without sacrificing return loss performance. To reduce "wiggle," connectors have a solid, anti-splay outer diameter.
