Lynx Technik yellobrik Analog Sync/Video Multimode Fiber Optic Transmitter
Description
The Lynx Technik yellobrik Analog Sync/Video Multimode Fiber Optic Transmitter is a small analog sync or NTSC/PAL composite video to fiber optic transmitter. This technology is specifically designed to overcome the limitations associated with the long-distance dissemination of broadcast quality analog reference and composite video signals. When combined with the fiber optic receiver ORX 1702, you get a very cost-effective optical transmission solution for analog sync reference signals or NTSC/PAL composite video. This device is particularly important for distributing reference sync across faraway installations in order to ensure proper synchronization. Unlike other extremely simple analog-to-fiber conversion solutions, the OTX 1712 integrates technologies to preserve a very high degree of sync and burst phase stability during conversion and fiber transmission.
Before it is converted to fiber, the module converts the NTSC/PAL video signal to an SDI signal (containing reference and other important information). When the OTX 1712 is used with NTSC or PAL video sources, the fiber signal can be converted straight to SDI using an SDI receiver if necessary (e.g. ORX 1802). The OTX 1712 has a passive loop output and supports LC, ST, or SC single-mode fiber connections. An LC variant suitable for multimode fiber is also available.
