The Lynx Technik yellobrik OBD-1810 3Gbit SDI Bidirectional Fiber Transceiver is a bidirectional Fiber Optic to SDI transmitter and receiver that only requires a single fiber link and comes in a small, standalone package. The OBD 1810 modules are sold in pairs, a Type A module and a Type B module, both of which are used in a WDM closed loop application. Each module has a single fiber link between the electrical SDI in and SDI out connections on each module. Since each channel is totally autonomous, it is possible to use different SDI video standards and formats. Any 270Mbit/s, 1.5Gbit/s, or 3Gbit/s SDI source is automatically detected and re-clocked by the modules before conversion. With 3G Level A and Level B formats, the modules are completely compatible.
