Panasonic Lumix DC-G9 Mirrorless MFT Digital Camera

The Panasonic Lumix DC-G9 Mirrorless MFT Digital Camera delivers a 20.3-megapixel Live MOS sensor that allows for the recording of crisp pictures and video at ISO 25600. The electronic shutter feature allows for extremely high speeds of up to 60 frames per second continuous shooting. The G9 is quite accommodating if you wish to capture video in addition to stills, since it supports UHD 4K at up to 60p.

Many features of the camera have been upgraded, including the Depth-from-Defocus autofocus system, which now has 225 regions for rapid, precise focusing throughout the frame. In addition, a back joystick has been added for easy control of the current focus point. Another advantage of enhanced processing is the addition of 6K PHOTO at 30 frames per second and 4K PHOTO at up to 60 frames per second, allowing users to shoot 18MP or 8MP photos at high frame rates. The 5-axis sensor stabilization system supports Dual I.S. 2.0 and can correct for up to six stops of camera shaking, in addition to speed. A multi-shot mode, which collects eight independent photos and combines them into a single 80MP raw image, is also a significant feature made feasible by this new technology.

The G9 features a new body that is splash, dust, and freezeproof, in addition to improved performance. The body now has a top status LCD that allows rapid access to important settings without having to examine the LCD or viewfinder, both of which have been enhanced. The OLED viewfinder, in particular, has been enhanced with a 0.83x magnification and 3.68m-dot resolution. For lag-free viewing, the EVF offers a fast 120 fps refresh rate. In addition, the LCD has been upgraded to a 3.0" 1.04m-dot free-angle touchscreen enabling easy use at unusual angles.
