Description
The Lynx Technik yellobrik OBD 1410 12Gbit SDI Bidirectional Fiber Transceiver is a compact, self-contained bidirectional Fiber Optic to SDI transmitter and receiver that uses a single fiber link. It is a practical and economical way to get around the limitations associated with sending uncompressed broadcast-quality video signals over long distances. The OBD 1410 modules are sold in pairs, a Type A module and a Type B module, and they function as a WDM closed loop application.
Every module has an electrical SDI in and SDI out connection and connects the two using a single fiber. Each channel is totally autonomous and is capable of using various SDI video standards and formats. Any 1.5Gbit, 3Gbit, 6Gbit, or 12Gbit SDI source is automatically detected and re-clocked by the modules before conversion. The 3Gbit Level A and Level B formats are completely compatible with the modules.
